We celebrated our 20th anniversary on Saturday the 28th of November, 2009. The function was held at the R.D.R. Auditorium, Edapazanji, and Trivandrum and was attended by over 1500 people comprising investors, business associates, friends and well wishers.
Dr K.M. Abraham, IAS, Whole Time Member, SEBI was the chief guest for the day. Sri. P. S. Reddy, Executive director CDSL, Sri. Sunil Alvarez, VP business development CDSL and Dr. S. Kevin former Pro Vice Chancellor of the University of Kerala were the other special guests. The function was presided over by Sri. S. Srinivasan, IAS, CMD ODEPC and Director of Capstocks.
By inaugurating the function, Dr. K. M. Abraham praised Capstocks for it’s strict adherence to procedures and norms and went on to categorically state that per the records and reports of the SEBI, Capstocks was one of the few companies that could claim ‘zero omissions’. While describing the Capstocks track record as unblemished and unparalleled, he exhorted the entire Capstocks team to look at the next ten years and to recognize and take up the challenges thrown up and posted by technology.
Sri. Rajendran V recollected the humble beginnings of the company and remembered all the hardships that had been endured for Capstocks to reach it’s present position as best online stock brokers. While highlighting the achievements of the company, he reiterated that his mission in life was to ensure that as few people as possible lost money in the stock markets. Speaking about the future, Sri Rajendran said that he anticipated an 8 – 9 % GDP growth and expected that the 21200 Sensex levels would be crossed in the year 2010 itself. He thanked all the investors, business partners, share holders, family members and colleagues.
Sri P.S.Reddy ,in his keynote address complimented Capstocks on it’s commitment to prompt financial dealings and personalized service and stated that unlike in most other businesses, 20 years as a Top stock broking firm was a great achievement.
Sri. S Srinivasan, in his presidential address talked about the importance of honesty in dealings and quality of service for companies in service sector, which made Capstocks eligible for getting the ISO-2009 certification, making it the first stock broker in India to do so.
Dr S Kevin presented a lecture on the art of investing in equities. He said that investment is a science, while investing is an art too. With the philosophy and psychology, every investor develops his/her own personal style of investing.
Sri Sunil Alvarez congratulated Capstocks on its ability to adapt to change and expressed happiness at the speed at which the company was growing into a one stop financial shop.
Sri. P.S. Reddy gave away certificates and gifts honoring the founding clients and the Capstocks team members who have rendered more than a decade’s service.
A special award was given to Sri. M. K. M Koya, the first franchisee associate of the company. There was also a special plaque of honour bestowed up on the Managing Director Sri. Rajendran V, by all the employees of Capstocks which was presented by Sri. Amjad Hydari, AVP, Capstocks. Three lucky dip prizes were distributed. The celebrations included a musical evening. The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Sri. Deepak Poulose, Corporate Mentor, Capstocks.
